Outfits of the week: Week 26

I can't believe week 26 has come and gone. The longest day has passed. And these first six months have gone so quickly as well. I can't believe we already passed the first half of 2015. It feels like the year just started, but it's everything but! This week I worked a lot again. I don't mind, but it feels repetitive writing it lol. But that's life! Besides working, I went to Jurassic World again. No regrets, the movie was still amazing the second time. I can't wait for part 2/5 (since it's technically a squeal to the Jurassic Park series). And these are the outfits I wore this week.

Shoplog

Buying clothes or shoes in one season (like, say, summer) while they're actually more appropriate for the opposite season (like winter) is kinda my speciality. I do it so many times, I lost track. It can be kinda annoying, since I like to wear new items asap. But when they belong to the opposite season it's kind of hard. It's either too warm or too cold. At the moment, these ankle boots are too warm. But on the bright side, it's usually not that warm in the Netherlands. We normally don't have a lot of days where it's hot. And ankle boots are certainly suitable for fall and colder summer days. Plus, fall will come soon enough (ugh). What was I talking about? Oh right, my new ankle boots!

Bershka summer lookbook 2015

Today is the day summer officially started. I don't know how the weather is in other countries, but the spring in the Netherlands has been absolutely horrible. So why not show a sunny lookbook from Bershka filled with summer clothes? It's a very small lookbook, but I wanted to show you either way.

I went to Almere because I wanted to buy new running shoes. My knees hurt so much while running and my current shoes are more than a year old. I don't ran a lot of km's, but you need to change shoes every two years at least. Unfortunately, the store where I usually buy my shoes was closed because it was Sunday. Most other stores were open, so I visited Primark, H & M and other stores. I wouldn't be me if I didn't buy something!

Bags for sale

There is one sort of item which I don't own a lot of: bags. I don't hate bags or something. I just think it's a hassle to throw all of my stuff in another bag. I used to do this but I always forgot something so I stopped doing it. It's why I always want a black bag. It goes with everything. Nevertheless, I like looking for bags. i saw some amazing bags at Van Haren, which are on sale as well.

Wedges ready for the beach

I'm still looking for sandals or wedges which really ooze summer. Sandals by definition do, but wedges don't always look like summer shoes. I used to have wedges from jute with straps and those shoes were so cute. They also didn't last long because the jute was made from the worst material. Still, I would love to own a similar pair like those wedges.

So after I bought the floral dress at C & A in the sale, I had to check again for other nice items. And I spotted this dark green floral print dress. My sister got the blue one in short sleeves last Saturday, which I loved as well. But it was completely sold out. I love the green version with long sleeves as well. And I can be proud at myself, because it was also available in dark green with short sleeves but I just bought this one.

Outfits of the week: Week 24

I'm not following the weather these last few months. Some days are great temperature wise and then after a few days it starts to rain and it gets very cold. I haven't worn any of my great shorts. I haven't worn a lot of (summer) dresses or skirts.

At the beginning of last year I had no dress for a chic party and since then I have bought several. So I don't have to worry about wearing one dress to every wedding. I can choose! The best thing about this dress? It was on sale at C & A!

H & M summer sale

Summer has not started yet, which is a relief because the weather feels like fall save for some few days. But despite the bad weather, stores have started with the summer sale. Since summer weather can be as fickle as spring weather, the items I selected aren't super summerlike. But I wouldn't mind wearing these items during summer, whether the weather is good or not.

Shoplog in Maastricht

I went to Maastricht (town in the Netherlands) with my friends. Officially we wouldn't go shopping, but I had to wait with a friend until the other friend arrived. So we went into some of the stores and I spotted sale at C & A. I'm a sucker for sale and C & A usually already has clothes which are reasonably priced. So sale is extra fun. Because cheap clothes get cheaper! But it was so hot that I wasn't really in the mood of trying clothes. See, I'm not a shopaholic! I'm a shoeaholic though because I spotted shoes on sale.

Outfits of the week: Week 22

I get slightly jealous when I look back at my outfit of the week post from last year. Shorts and T-shirts weather. And dresses weather. The only time when it's shorts weather is when I have to work. That's another reason why I unfortunately don't have a lot of spring and summery outfit to post (yet?).
