Outfits of the week: Week 13

What a week, what a week! Three new pair of All Stars and a huge shopping spree. To quote Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Now that was fun!"

I won't be surprised if more stores will have a mid-season sale in the upcoming weeks. Let's hope the other sales will start soon. For now, we can check the Asos website. I selected a couple of items I like.

Shoplog: National Glamour Day

It's National Glamour Day in the Netherlands & Belgium and that means that you get a 20 % discount today (according to the website, 3000 stores participated in the Netherlands and Belgium). You had to buy the April issue of the Glamour magazine and show the issue in the stores if the store participated. The lovely thing about the internet, is that you don't have to buy the magazine but you'll still get a discount. I missed the two last Glamour Days but this time I wrote it in my day planner as a reminder!

Topshop & Adidas

I guess the new trend in fashion world is making your own sports line or in this case, collaborating with a known sports brand. I'm talking about the Topshop line for Adidas. Some of the items are colorful and have prints on them. It's a little bit more on the pricey side if you compare it to the H & M sports line. But then again, H & M is known for cheap and Adidas not.

I went almost two months without a good old fashioned shopping spree and then I suddenly have two within a week! Last Friday I bought some items at H & M and today I went to Almere with my mom. Finally, to the Primark again! Although I didn't buy anything there, I was quite successful at H & M. Here is what I bought today (all H & M):

Military girl

I was just curious about your opinion about this jacket. It's from my sister and I'm quite torn whether I should keep it or not. I think I'm gonna donate it to the H & M (since you get a coupon with 15 % discount if you donate a bag of clothes). The jacket is a little bit too big, I hate the picture with the heart on the sleeve. But I like the gold buttons.

Shoplog: All Stars mania

I already mentioned my love for All Stars in a earlier post. So when my mom showed me an ad with All Stars for € 40 each instead of € 70 I was skeptic and excited. Why skeptic? Because they were on sale at a store which usually only sells cheap products. Big Bazar isn't known for it's high prices, which makes it so popular. So I was thinking by myself, is this the real deal? And well, it is. I was preparing myself for a big disappointment and saying to myself the shoes wouldn't be really All Stars or they wouldn't have my size anymore since they went on sale yesterday but I only saw the ad yesterday evening. But lo and behold, they had All Stars in my size.

Outfits of the week: Week 12

I have no idea what I did last week. Just kidding, I do remember! Let's skip the part where I complain about schoolwork since that won't stop anytime soon. Remember I was taking driving lessons? Yeah, still doing that and it's getting slightly better but I'm not anywhere near getting my driving license next week. Which isn't that bad, since I didn't have 10 lessons yet. I'm paying for 30 lessons. Sometimes I really like driving and other times I feel like wanting to sit in the backseat because I get really frustrated. But it's getting better, so let's focus on the positive side.

Social Media

I just wanted to let you guys now I hopped on the bandwagon with making an Instagram. I already mentioned loving my new smartphone and I have to say it yet again. I previously owned a HTC Wildfire S and it was so small and had no space at all. I didn't mind the size, but the fact that it had virtually no space was really annoying. I now have 16 GB of internal space and the phone by itself already uses a a lot. So I'm really happy with the space. My Instagram account is @hmlovur.

Conscious & Concious Exclusive

I must admit, when I first heard about the Conscious line from H & M I wasn't that excited but I must say some of the items from the past line have been cute. I'm not so sure about this line, because I don't see a lot of items which are wearable. They look great, just not something you put on. But who knows when it's in the stores, right? It will be sold from April 10.

I went shopping today! Woohoo! I was so happy after my shopping spree. I will make better pictures of the items I bought, but I just wanted to show you these pictures made with my new Samsung Galaxy S4. Which is an amazing smartphone btw. That aside, my shopping spree was quite successful. Of course I only succeeded at H & M. As usual!

It's a rainy day

So let us focus on a beautiful day, with loads of sunshine, it's not too hot nor too cold, you're enjoying a cold drink on the terrace after a successful shopping spree. You look at your bags with a perfect smile on your face, because you have finally bought a lot of spring items you forgot to buy the first time. This may or may not be me in the future. Basically, this post is just a wishlist for my H & M spring items. What I want & need to buy.

Outfits of the week: Week 11

Sunny, with a chance of wind. Pretty much describes the weather in the Netherlands last week. But it's not technically spring yet, so I'm not worried. I do enjoy the fact the it doesn't get dark so early. Love it! Aside from the sunny weather, I went bowling with colleagues and as usual, I was really busy with school work ( I had to stop for a while, because the questions didn't come through anymore).

Spring with Miranda Kerr

H & M showed more pictures of Miranda Kerr for their spring collection of 2014. The articles are already available in the stores and according to H & M online as of next week. Though some clothing items Miranda Kerr is wearing, are already online. But let's talk about the pictures. I think they look great, really spring and summery. Let's bring the hot temperatures!

Do the boho

The boho trend has been trendy for a long time, I don't think it really left the last decade. I started to think of items in my closet which would be considered bohemian, but I couldn't think further than my cowboy jacket (I haven't worn it yet, but who knows maybe next week?). When I look at this pictures from Mango I definitely see some items I would love to have.

Just put these on

The title of this blogpost is exactly the appeal of slip ons. Just putting them on, for a rather casual look, without have to tie your shoes or walking on heels. Slip ons are perfect for under jeans but can look great with a skirt of dress if you want to make the outfit a little bit more sporty and edgy. I think slip ons are gonna be huge this spring and summer. I haven't tried any, so I don't know if they're as comfortable as they look. I selected some slip ons I like and which I think aren't super expensive.

New, newer, newest at H & M

It's clever to not just drop every clothing piece you made in the stores at once. I believe 20 or maybe even 10 years ago that was often the case. But I guess stores found out that it's better to renew the collection every (2) week(s) or month, so people will come in more often. You'll still see pieces you saw last time, but I swear the clothes change more often than ~ when I was young ~. With all this rambling, I finally reached my point. That is, H & M updated the webshop again. I selected a lot of things I like. I'm a HMLovur after all!

I know I said online shopping isn't the same as good old fashioned shopping, but that doesn't make me hate online shopping. In fact I love it as well, I just like to combine the two. A little bit of online and a little bit of store shopping. Unfortunately I have too much schoolwork at the moment. But enough about my first world problems! I ordered this green blouse at the H & M webshop for only 7 euros. It was originally 19,95 euros.

I love the color! Don't have anything in this color at the moment (I think), so it was about time!

That's hot

Animal print, bohemian chic, denim and sailor chic are trends we can except this spring and summer according to H & M. They selected great items. This is only making me crave a good old fashioned shopping spree even more! Online shopping isn't just the same. Of course seeing this pictures are great for inspiration as well. Take a look at your items in your closet and perhaps you come up with new ideas!

Primark lookbook summer 2014

Primark has released the lookbook for the summer of 2014. At times like these, I really wish Primark had a webshop. I know why they don't have one, but I would be really great for a lot of people who want to visit Primark but have to travel a lot in order to reach one. Based on this lookbook, I don't get wildly enthusiastic, but the store obviously has more clothes than these.

I'm aware of the fact that I have been saying this the last couple of weeks, but I swear spring is definitely here (let's hope it staying for quite some time).

All Stars for the spring & summer

It's allmost time to change our winterboots for some lovely sandals. Some might wear sandals already, but I'll think I'll wait a little bit longer. But for these lovely spring temperatures All Stars are perfect. While I only have two pair, I would love to own some of these. Some of these All Stars are bright and colorful, perfect for under shorts or jeans in the summer. Do you like these colors? Or do you prefer basic All Stars or All Stars with a print?

Zara lookbook spring 2014

Yes, another lookbook! This time from Zara. I must admit I appreciate the store a lot more since my last order. In the lookbook there are a lot of white clothing items, crop tops, polkadot clothing pieces and denim. Just like with the Mango, I think the Zara is a bit pricey. But since I scored great clothes during the sale, I'll definitely keep my eye on the sale on the webshop. 

Mango lookbook summer 2014

It's always exciting when a new season begins. Not only a change of clothes, but also new styles and thus time for shopping sprees. I'm still planning to go, but haven't found the time for a shopping spree. For now I'll have to look at the lookbooks. Which is fun as well, though not as much as shopping. This time I'm showing the Mango lookbook of the summer of 2014. It's divided in six collections: River Island, Season Essentials, Premium, Wear to Work, Sporty Code and Party. Beware of lots of pictures!

Bohemian chic with H & M

H & M added new articles on their webshop. The clothes are more expensive than the regular line. So I expect these items are from the Trend line, but the webshop doesn't say. The materials are a bit more high end than the regular items as well. If you're really into bohemian chic, you might enjoy these clothes.

Notion 1.3 Lookbook

Nelly showed a Lookbook of one of their brands they sell: Notion 1.3. I hadn't heard about the brand before, but I like the pieces. Notion 1.3 show a lot of black and white items. The brand is a little bit more pricey than H & M or Primark, but not super expensive. Some items are more reasonable priced than others.

Sheer & Black

Very cute, but a little bit too wide. That's my verdict on this H & M blouse. I love the sheer sleeves, but the blouse is quite wide. It was 7 euros online and I didn't pay forwarding charges.

Outfits of the week: Week 9

I had a schoolvacation, but didn't notice anything different since I still worked on my schoolwork. Though I believe a lot of student have to do that, so no worries. As you can see on the pictures, it's getting quite sunny over here and I'm loving it. Here's hoping the temperature won't go down a lot, since it can still happen in March.

Fairest of them all

And finally, the Oscars! Yes, last night we could enjoy some wonderful dresses, cringeworthy moments (John Travolta not getting Idina Menzel's name right, Jennifer Lawrence tripping again) and some fun moments (Ellen Degeneres taking a selfie, collecting money for a pizza and handing out pizza with Brad Pitt). But the dresses are always the highlight of the show right?

I've been saying I wanted to go shopping for ages! But I just can't find the time with school and stuff. Of course I can order stuff, but with online shopping you can't try a lot of stuff because you have to order it (duh). Perhaps in two weeks or so I can finally shop again. Fingers crossed.
